Finally in China

Well after a rough start, a 2 hour delay from OKC, a 7 hour delay out of Chicago, we have finally landed and are settling into our hotel room. The flight....let's just say we're glad it's behind us....the crew was nice, the people were nice, but dang that's a long time with no room to move!
So we got up at 4:30 Friday morning to go to the OKC airport, and we're settling in now at midnight on Saturday night here in China. What a day.... so we have lost one day of sightseeing and will see the Forbidden City tomorrow morning and the Great Wall the day after now.
Our guide here in Beijing is Tom and so far he's great! Poor guy, he was trying so hard to keep this group of families moving so that he could get us to the hotel as quickly as possible. He's going to take us out tomorrow to get bottled water and whatever else we think we might need for the next two days.
I'm signing off before the battery gives out, but wanted to let you all know we made it safely. The worst part is over (until the flight home in two weeks, but I'm still in denial on that. LOL) I'll post when I can and hopefully get some pictures over the next few days. We have a wonderful travel group of great people!
